Hosted by BABOL UNIVERSITY of MEDICAL SCIENCES and many international associations, the meeting will bring together academics, scientists and representatives from the MEDICAL industry to discuss the impact of new discoveries at molecular and cellular level on diseases prevention, diagnosis and treatment. The program will highlight numerous hot topics including Stem cells, Cancer, Cardiovascular diseases, Diabetes and hemoglobinopathies. It will bring together delegates from all over the world igniting a vast exchange of information whilst promoting and developing global partnerships. I would also like to express my thanks and appreciation to all our guests for sharing with us their valuable time. Background and Purpose: Euthanasia is one of the important topics in the philosophy of bioethics, the right to life of a sick person. The question arises whether the doctor can end his life with compassion, based on the request of a patient who is suffering from a severe illness and does not have the hope of recovering. The aim of this study was to investigate the attitude of MEDICAL students of BABOL UNIVERSITY of MEDICAL SCIENCES Towards Death from symopathy. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 113 MEDICAL students of BABOL UNIVERSITY of MEDICAL SCIENCES from2017 to 2018 were studied. The obtained data in this study were collected in the questionnaire containing 20 questions on euthanasia (AES). Data were analyzed by Chisquare statistical method using SPSS 18 software. Results: The results of this study showed that 35 (31%) of the respondents had a positive attitude and 78 (69%) had a negative attitude toward euthanasia. The mean of total attitude to euthanasia was 67. 45 ± 4. 84. Chi-square test showed that the relationship between the attitude of death from sympathy and age, gender, specialized period and specialized fields was not significant at the significance level of 0. 05. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that a high percentage of MEDICAL students had a negative attitude toward euthanasia, but a significant percentage also agreed that this issue. Regarding the dignity of pious jurisprudential and religious law, it is suggested to be aware of this issue in MEDICAL students' education courses and to carefully plan euthanasia phenomena in future educational plans for MEDICAL and nursing students.

Introduction. One of the important economical and social problems of our society is employment situation of higher education graduates which is necessary to consider for the development of future plans. This study aims to determine the employment situation of midwifery graduates in BABOL UNIVERSITY of MEDICAL SCIENCES.Methods. In this cross-sectional survey, a questionnaire was sent to all midwifery graduates who had entered the UNIVERSITY between 1992-1997 (n=120). A total number of 82 filled questionnaires were returned. The data analysis was done with SPSS-10 software using frequency distribution and Chi2 test.Results. Based on the results, 51.3% of subjects were employed which nearly half of them were spending their mandatory services. Statistical data revealed a significant relationship between the year of graduation and being employed. Twenty two point five percent of employed graduates worked in jobs other than midwifery. Eighty two point nine percent of them were employed at government section, 17.1% at private section and 75.9% of them did not have any office. There was a significant relationship between quota of acceptance to the UNIVERSITY and the desire to work in deprived areas. Most midwives did not have any desire to work in the deprived areas, and in the case of having the opportunity to choose again, they would not choose midwifery as their future career. Conclusion. The unemployment rate between midwifery graduates of BABOL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY is high. So, it is recommended to provide them with appropriate job opportunities, and employ young graduates in counseling clinics for maternity care.

Introduction: Acquisition of scientific authority has been emphasized in the health policies of the Supreme Leader. Identification and take benefits from the capabilities of MEDICAL universities provide opportunities for developing of the country, in this regards, it is necessary to identify and present the most important capabilities of each MEDICAL UNIVERSITY. BABOL UNIVERSITY of MEDICAL SCIENCES as one of the health higher education based on innovation and evolution program in MEDICAL education, identified his outstanding capabilities in the first region of Logistic Health Education Plan.Methods: This is a cross-sectional descriptive-explanatory study which has been conducted by reviewing the evidences and documents related to the courses and departments, evaluating performance report, observing and reporting educational directors and experts panels in the vice chancellor for education of the UNIVERSITY.Results: BABOL UNIVERSITY of MEDICAL SCIENCES has the capability of scientific authority, including the development in cancer information, implementation of family medicine, infant care, genetic diagnosis, cardiac surgery and pediatric cardiac interventions, organ transplant (kidney and bone marrow).Conclusion: Scientific authority aspects should be explained as well as adopting strategic and operational plans and mobilizing resources and facilities by UNIVERSITY.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: In the late half of past century, ethics were considered in clinical trials. The researchers are responsible for health and life of participants in all process of research. The aim of this study was to determine the obligation of MEDICAL ethics in theses and clinical trials in BABOL UNIVERSITY of MEDICAL SCIENCES. METHODS: This study was conducted on 25 theses and clinical trials in BABOL UNIVERSITY of MEDICAL SCIENCES in 2001. Data were gathered by questionnaires and then surveyed.FINDINGS: From total cases only in 16%, ethics were considered. Thirty four percent of participants were informed about research and only 16% had written consent. In 28%, there was a probability of incidence of serious complication for participants. In 61%, expenditure was paid by participants.CONCLUSION: MEDICAL ethics were not seriously considered by researchers. Ministry of Health and MEDICAL Education necessitated participation of all researchers in research ethics workshop for promotion of the quality of research ethics.
